Florida Keys Wedding Trash The Dress Session
Not everyone wants to have an engagement session with their wedding package. How about a fun alternative of a playful Trash the Dress session?
This is exactly what Allie and Nate booked the day after their wedding. The idea here is to have a playful way of wearing your wedding clothes one more time for extra special portrait photos in a relaxed but gorgeous destination setting.
The wedding is done, chances are you won’t wear your gown for another occasion, so why not get dressed up and show it off one more time with a completely different background.
I am so happy that I was able to find a location in Marathon at Bahia Honda State Park which was only an hour away from Allie and Nate’s original wedding destination at Islamorada Fish Camp in the Florida Keys.
We went at sunset and had an astounding view of the old bridge, that teal water the Keys are famous for and tons of greenery.
What’s cool about a Trash the Dress session is there are no expectations. You can literally run around barefoot, trash your dress, play in the water and get wet or muddy.
I changed my Wedding guide to include the option of trading a traditional engagement for one of these one-of-a-kind sessions. You can also always add it on to your package.
I hope to see a lot more of these in my future as your wedding photographer!
St. Augustine has a lot to offer to an engaged couple. There are so many beautiful venues and locations to choose from! One of the most beautiful venues is Castle Otttis hidden in plain sight on Vilano Beach. This fabulous castle belongs to a long time resident who graciously opens his castle gates to a number of weddings and elopements. There isn’t anything more magical than the combination of old architecture, beautiful greenery, a fairy tale castle and the beach.
